This service is for reprogramming the immobilizer system of your 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 Toyota Corolla or Toyota Matrix, either with automatic or manual transmission. FREE programming of your car’s VIN is included in this service.

 

This service is needed if:

 

  1. You lost all of your keys and need the ECM to accept a new key or keys.
  2. If your original ECM is defective and was replaced by a used ECM, and you tried the sync process without success.

 

As part of this service:

 

1. If for any reason, the immobilizer memory chip is defective or damaged (this happens sometimes), then we will proceed to replace it for you and reprogram it at NO EXTRA CHARGE.

 

2. If your ECM software version is not up to date, we will update it with the latest software (calibration) for your specific model, available directly from Toyota.

 

3. (Optional) For the VIN, we will use the same VIN found in the memory of the ECM. Should you require the programming of a different VIN for any reason, it can be optionally entered at checkout in a form provided for that purpose. So simply, if a VIN is provided, it will be used. Otherwise, we will use the VIN already existing in the ECM’s memory.

 

This service applies to the 2005-2008 Corolla or Matrix, with the following ECM part numbers. OTHER NOTES ABOUT THIS SERVICE:

 

1. This solution is done by reprogramming a memory chip inside the ECM. No parts are removed, and no modifications are made to the circuit. Your ECM is safe with us. This is a clean programming procedure. The only replacement that could be involved in this process is in the event of a defective memory chip. In that case, it will be replaced for FREE by an original part.

 

2. The ECMs that we receive are assumed to be in a good working condition. The scope of this service is the immobilizer circuit only and does not include repairing any defects of the ECM, except in the case where the immobilizer memory chip needs replacement.

 

3. The job will be done in just one business day, and it will be shipped back to you the next business day.

 

4. When the ECM is returned to you, you just reinstall it in your car, and it will be ready to use.

 

5. If entering the VIN in the order, please be accurate. The VIN must have 17 alphanumeric characters. If you provide a wrong or mistaken VIN, please contact us with the correct number within 24 hours after the order is placed. Otherwise, we cannot be held liable for programming the ECM with an incorrect VIN.

 

6. We understand that mistakes do happen. If you send the wrong VIN or if you require a different VIN and forget to inform us in the provided form at checkout, you may send back the ECM and let us know the VIN so we can enter it. In this case, the service WILL NOT be charged, but we will need to charge the exact shipping expenses determined by USPS or FedEx (your choice). We DO NOT profit from shipping charges. Any discount offered by USPS or FedEx is passed directly to the customer.

 

7. The VIN form at checkout is optional. You do not have to provide it and can leave it blank if you do not require a change of VIN.

    SHIPPING TO THE USA


    There is a FREE shipping option (via USPS Priority Mail) for locations in the USA and USA Territories. This covers the USA's 48 contiguous States, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska, the US Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa.

    Delivery time for the offered free shipping option to mainland USA locations will be 3 to 5 business days. On the other hand, the faster (paid) USPS and FedEx options for mainland USA locations will deliver the next business if FedEx Priority is used, or 1-2 business days if USPS Express and FedEx Economy are used.

    PO Boxes (Post Office boxes) and APO Boxes (Army Post Office boxes) addresses are accepted, but can only be shipped via the USPS shipping services. FedEx will not accept those.

    Products and services shipped to international locations will be shipped via FedEx, and some, where available, can be shipped via USPS too. This is on a case-by-case basis, and when available, it will be shown in the shipping calculator.

    IMPORTS TO THE USA


    The new USA tariffs system is being adapted only for the services for international locations, where you need to send your unit here to be repaired or programmed, and that will count as an import to the USA. In these cases, you will see a tariff block added to the end of the shipping calculator, consisting of three parts: the tariff itself (L2), a fixed regulatory charge (L1), and a Duty Tax Processing charge (L3). These are the import tariffs and fees charged by FedEx, DHL, or any other company that you may use to ship your unit here. No markups or extra charges are added to those amounts.

    The warranty for this service is limited, and it has an expiration date, as stated in the information block above these lines.

    If a warranty is claimed within the warranty term, its coverage will be subject to our warranty-accepting conditions defined in our warranty Terms and Conditions page, in part five(V), section "D" of that page. If the serviced unit shows any of the conditions mentioned in that section that void the warranty, we unfortunately, cannot process the claim as in warranty.

    I.COVERAGE


    NOTE: Any mention of "days" in this document, it refers to "calendar days", as opposed to "business days", unless otherwise noted.

    A. The included warranty term, clearly stated in the information page of every product, covers the serviced unit against defects. Damage to the serviced unit caused by shipping, handling, or misuse is not covered by this warranty.

    B. The basic shipping insurance is for $100. If the customer desires a higher-value insurance, please let us know before ordering so we can send an invoice for the extra insurance.

    C. In the extremely rare occasion that the serviced unit fails again, we will first consult the customer, and if the problem is determined to be related to the service performed, the serviced unit will be taken back for revision and correction in warranty. In the event that we find that the unit does not comply with the warranty conditions defined in our warranty Terms and Conditions page, in part five(V), section "D", we will consult the customer to agree in the path to take. The possibilities are to repair the unit for an extra fee, or return the unit unrepaired, or repair the unit as in warranty, depending on the case. In any of the cases where the unit is not covered by the warranty, the customer must assume the shipping charges.

    If the unit complies with the warranty Terms and Conditions and the unit is not repairable for any reason, we will return the unit unrepaired and issue a full refund if the warranty was claimed within the first 30 days after the customer received the unit for the first time, or a partial refund after those 30 days. The partial refund consists of what was paid for the repair job, without including the shipping charges.

    If the unit complies with the warranty Terms and Conditions and the unit is repairable, we will repair it and ship it back at no charge if the warranty was claimed within the first 30 days after the customer received the unit for the first time, or the repair will be done at no charge, but return shipping will be charged after those 30 days.

    II. SHIPPING COVERAGE IN WARRANTY CLAIMS


    A. If a warranty is honored, inbound and outbound shipping costs coverage will depend on the case, as described below.

    1. For services sold to the USA or the USA Territories, if a warranty claim is filed within the first 30 days after the customer received the serviced item, and the problem is related to the service done, or the unit failed again with the same problem, we will cover both ways of shipping.

    2. For services sold outside the USA, if a warranty claim is filed within the first 30 days after the customer received the serviced item, and it complies with the warranty terms, and the problem is related to the service done, or the unit failed again with the same problem, we will cover both ways of shipping.

    3. Shipping will not be covered for any warranty claim if the claim is made more than 30 days after the customer receives the serviced unit.
