This service reprograms the immobilizer system on your 2005, 2006, 2007, or 2008 Toyota Corolla or Toyota Matrix, either with an automatic or manual transmission. This service includes FREE VIN programming for your car.
IMPORTANT:
#1: This is a reprogram-and-return service. This is not a replacement part. You send us your ECM, we reprogram it, and we ship it back to you.
#2: Shipping, including the FREE shipping option, is for returning your unit after it is repaired (outbound shipping). It does not refer to inbound shipping.
When is this service needed?
- You lost all of your keys and need the ECM to accept a new key or keys.
- If your original ECM was defective and was replaced with a used ECM, and you tried the sync process without success.
Extras
1. If for any reason the immobilizer memory chip is defective or damaged (this happens sometimes), then we will proceed to replace it for you and reprogram it at NO EXTRA CHARGE.
2. If your ECM software version is not up to date, we will update it with the latest software (calibration) for your specific model, available directly from Toyota.
3. (Optional) For the VIN, we will use the same VIN found in the memory of the ECM. If you need to program a different VIN for any reason, you can enter it at checkout using the form provided. Simply put, if you provide a VIN, we will use it. Otherwise, we will use the VIN already existing in the ECM’s memory.

BEFORE ORDERING: If you replaced your ECM with a used one and are only trying to adapt the replacement ECM to your car’s immobilizer system, and don’t know about the “Sync Process” for Toyota models, it is easy, and you can do it yourself. You can find the information in the article at the link below. NOTES (1) This DOES NOT work if you lost all the keys, and (2) you don’t need to do this if you order this service.

OTHER NOTES ABOUT THIS SERVICE:
1. This solution is done by reprogramming a memory chip inside the ECM. No parts are removed, and no circuits are modified. Your ECM is safe with us. This is a clean programming procedure. The only replacement that could be involved is if the memory chip is defective. In that case, we will replace it for FREE with an original part.
2. The ECMs that we receive are assumed to be in good working condition. This service covers only the immobilizer circuit and does not include repairing any ECM defects, except when the immobilizer memory chip needs replacement.
3. The job will be done in only one business day, and it will be shipped back to you the next business day.
4. When the ECM is returned to you, you just reinstall it in your car, and it will be ready to use.
5. If you enter a VIN in the order and we find out that the VIN is incorrect, we will try to contact you so you can provide the correct number.
6. We understand that mistakes do happen. If you need a different VIN programmed to the ECM and you send the wrong VIN, and we have already shipped your ECM, you may return the ECM and let us know the correct VIN so we can enter it. In this case, the service WILL NOT be charged, but we will need to charge the exact shipping expenses determined by USPS or FedEx (your choice). We DO NOT profit from shipping charges. We pass any discount offered by USPS or FedEx directly to the customer.
7. The VIN form at checkout is optional. You do not have to provide it and can leave it blank if you do not need a VIN change.
