PROGRAMMING

VIN (VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER)
- When you order, at checkout we provide a form for you to enter your vehicle’s VIN.
- If you do not provide your VIN with the order or sent in an email within 24 hours after placing the order, we will ship the ECM without the VIN number. In this condition, the car will still start and will function as normal, but the check engine light will be lit with the “VIN Mismatch” error code.
- Please, be accurate when entering the VIN (17 alphanumeric characters). If you provide a wrong or mistaken VIN, please contact us with the correct number within 24 hours after the order is placed.
- Lastly, we understand that mistakes do happen. If you send the wrong VIN or do not provide any, maybe you forgot to do so, you may send back the ECM and let us know the VIN so we can program it in the ECM. In this case, the service will not be charged, but we would need to charge the shipping expenses determined by the carrier used (USPS or FedEx).

POSSIBLE SYMPTOMS
A bad ECM in the 2005-2007 Toyota Corolla may cause any of numerous symptoms, but the most common are:
- The engine cranks but does not start
- You have engine crank but no start
- The car starts but the engine doesn’t go over 2000 RPMs
- The engine starts but then stops
- The engine misfires intermittently
- The car stalling while driving or when starting the car
- Seems like the ignition coils are not getting enough power or not receiving enough spark
- Increased emissions or smell of unburnt gasoline
- Scanner shows error code P0601, P0606, P0607, P0610, P1690, P1792, P1890, or other related codes

ECM LOCATION:
The 2005-2007 Toyota Corolla engine ECM is located under the right dash area (below the glove compartment area) as shown below. It has a plastic cover, which is attached with two plastic plugs, then the ECM is attached by 4 Torx screws.
Notes referring to common questions we receive:
- This is a direct replacement for the 2005-2007 Toyota Corolla ECM.
- ECM (Engine Control Module) and ECU (Engine Control Unit) refer to the same part.

Shipping is done from our local USA warehouse. It will take anything from 1 to 10 business days (processing time added) for locations in the USA.
Once your order is shipped, we will notify you and provide the details and the tracking number.

LEAD TIME
Each product has a “lead time” from 1 to several days. This number is listed at the top of each product’s information page.
The lead time or “processing time” is the maximum time in business days that it may take to ship your order. Please note that since this is the maximum number of days, it may, and often does, take fewer days to be shipped. SHIPPING TO THE USA
There is a FREE shipping option (through USPS Priority Mail) for locations in the USA and USA Territories. This covers the USA’s 48 contiguous States, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska, the US Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa.
Delivery time for the offered free shipping option to USA locations will be 3 to 5 business days. On the other hand, the faster (paid) USPS and FedEx options for USA locations will deliver the next business day for FedEx Priority, or 1-3 business days for USPS Express and FedEx Economy.
PO (Post Office box) and APO (Army Post Office box) addresses are accepted but only for the USPS shipping services.
INTERNATIONAL LOCATIONS (OUT OF THE USA)
We ship to international locations covered by FedEx and in some selected cases, covered by USPS Express as an alternative of lower cost. Transit times vary with the location. Shipping through FedEx to most locations takes anything from 3 to 10 business days. USPS to selected international locations is less expensive but may take from 6 to 15 business days and is not as secure as FedEx due to the way the package is handled. When any package is shipped through USPS to any international location, once USPS reaches the destination country, the package is then handled by that country.
Import Customs clearance in the destination country may add one or more days to the delivery time when shipping to international locations.

1. COVERAGE
a. The included warranty term (stated at the top of every product page) covers the product against defects. Damage to the product by shipping handling or misuse is not covered by this warranty.
b. The basic shipping insurance is for $100. If the customer desires higher-value insurance, please let us know before ordering so we can send an invoice for the extra insurance.
c. In the extremely rare occasion that the product fails, we will consult the customer first and if we determine that the problem is related to the product, the product will be taken back for revision and if it complies with the warranty conditions defined in our Terms and Conditions page, in section five, “D”, we will offer the customer a refund or a replacement if available, whichever the customer decides. This is true if the warranty claim is done in the first 30 days of the warranty term.
If the claim is done any time after the first 30 days of the warranty term, we will try to service the unit first. If the unit cannot be repaired, then we will replace it if available. If not repairable and not available, then we will issue the customer a refund, given that the warranty conditions are met.
2. SHIPPING COVERAGE IN WARRANTY CLAIMS
a. If a warranty is honored, inbound and outbound shipping costs coverage will depend on the case, as described below.
b. Cases of Shipping Covered:
If a warranty claim is filed anytime within the warranty period and the problem is caused by a malfunction of the ordered product, we will cover both ways of shipping if the product is to be replaced or serviced and the warranty is claimed within the first 30 days after the customer receives the product. This applies to shipments within the USA and USA Territories. Inbound shipments are not covered in warranty claims for any product sent to an international location. However, outbound shipments will be covered in these first 30 days.
c. If a warranty is claimed after 30 days of the customer receiving the product, we will only cover outbound (return) shipping if the product is to be replaced or serviced. This applies to shipments within the USA and USA Territories. Inbound or outbound shipments are not covered after 30 days of a warranty claim for any product sent to an international location.
d. Cases of Shipping NOT Covered:
If a warranty claim is filed within the warranty period, but more than 30 days after the customer receives the product, we will still cover a replacement, a repair, or a refund, whichever applies, but the customer must cover shipping both ways, inbound and outbound.
3. NO WARRANTY COVERAGE CASES
a. The warranty for this product is limited and has an expiration date, as stated at the top of this information page. No warranty will be covered after the expiration date.
b. If a warranty is claimed within the warranty term, coverage will be subject to our warranty-accepting conditions defined in our Terms and Conditions page, in section five, “D”. We recommend checking the previously mentioned section for all the conditions.
Finally, if the ordered product fails and the problem is not related to the product itself, we always stand by our customers and will try our best to help in any way possible. If shipping is involved in this case, it must be covered by the customer.

It’s being a great satisfaction sending my ECM unit to Richard in Puerto Rico for repairs and reprogramming. I must say I came across this website quite late after I had damaged the stock transmission of my 2004 Toyota Rav4. It was only after the replacement transmission also started experiencing harsh shifting issues from 2nd to 3rd gears and sometimes no reverse and with a bang as if engine or transmission mounts were worn out.
The turn around time was very short despite shipping from Ghana 🇬🇭 to Puerto Rico. Communication with Richard was very smooth, answering questions and inquiries in a timely manner when asked. Even though I had to replace the solenoid pack due to prolonged use of the vehicle in its limp mode at the end of the day, I have saved myself so much money from buying another transmission just by sending my ECM to PR for repairs and reprogramming. I have observed that other issues not related to the transmission were also identified and fixed by Richard. Very good customer service.
I am very thankful to you for helping me put my beloved Rav back on the road as it shifts much better than it was before the repairs.
