LATEST VEHICLE SAFETY RECALLS ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION (NHTSA) FOR THIS WEEK

( Updated on FEB 17, 2025):

This page is constantly maintained and each time the NHTSA issue a new report (weekly or bi-weekly), it will be used to replace the current contents on this page and the publishing date will always be updated and stated above.

NOTES:

1. You may click on the NHTSA Recall ID Number (in blue) on any of the reports listed below and you will be taken to the NHTSA website for the specific report page. Once the specific NHTSA page opens, you will be able to download the report in PDF format (when available) by scrolling down that page and clicking on the blue ‘Download as PDF‘ button. That way you can save the file for your records and you can always print it out for presenting it to a dealer when filing a claim based on a recall.

2. If you are unsure about wheter your car is involved or not in any of the recalls listed here, remember that you can always freely search your car’s VIN in our VIN Lookup Page to know for sure if your car is affected.

3. You may also use the “find” function ( Ctrl + F ) to search any text on the list on this page, like your car’s model for example.

What is a recall?

When a manufacturer or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) determines that a vehicle creates an unreasonable risk to safety or fails to meet minimum safety standards, the manufacturer is required to fix that vehicle at no cost to the owner. That can be done by repairing it, replacing it, offering a refund (for equipment), or, in rare cases, repurchasing the car.

What should I do if my vehicle is included in this recall?

If your vehicle is included in this recall, it is very important that you get it fixed as soon as possible given the potential danger to you and your passengers if it is not addressed. You should receive a separate letter in the mail from the vehicle manufacturer, notifying you of the recall and explaining when the remedy will be available, whom to contact to repair your vehicle and to remind you that the repair will be done at no charge to you. If you believe your vehicle is included in the recall, but you do not receive a letter in the mail from the vehicle manufacturer, please call NHTSA’s Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236, or contact your vehicle manufacturer or dealership.
