DESCRIPTION

This IS250 ECM was refurbished, and we’ve already addressed the common transmission issues that affect these units. We cleared the adaptive memory, so your ECM starts relearning from zero as soon as it is installed.

This unit has some dings and scratches, as shown in the picture. One of the tabs where the ECM mounts to the car broke during shipping, but if you buy this unit, you can replace the metal case with your old ECM’s metal case. It is easy, and it is only about removing two Phillips screws, and your warranty won’t be voided by doing that.

Because of this broken tab, the price was lowered considerably, while keeping the 5 years warranty. It is less expensive than buying another marked-up ECM or paying to fix your ECM.

We will program your car’s VIN into the ECM before shipping it to you. To match this ECM to your car’s immobilizer system, the package includes a simple jumper tool and instructions so you can do it yourself. It is easy, and the only tools needed are the jumper tool included and your keys or key fob.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

This ECM might need to be synchronized with your car’s immobilizer system, and you can easily do it yourself.

Here is how it works:

1. When ordering this ECM, please provide your car’s VIN in the provided form on the checkout page, so we can program it to the ECM before shipping it to you.

2. If you receive and install your programmed ECM and the engine starts, then you are done and ready to go. Otherwise, if the engine fails to start, you must complete the immobilizer synchronization process so the ECM adapts to your car keys. In that case, please see #3 below.

3. With your ECM, you will also receive detailed instructions and the tool (jumper) to do the synchronization yourself in case it is needed. The process is easy, automated, and takes about 30 minutes once started. No tools are needed other than the included jumper, your keys or key fob, and a fully charged car battery.

This is a simple jumper that connects pin #4 and pin #13 on the diagnostic port for auto-programming, but we included it as an OBD-II plug in the package to make it easier for you.

SHIPPING PRODUCTS vs SHIPPING SERVICES

Product:

The free shipping, or the shipping charge included in the cart when you order a PRODUCT, is to cover the shipment of such product to your location.

The free shipping, or the shipping charge included in the cart when you order a SERVICE, is to cover the shipment to send your item back to you when the service is completed. That does not include the shipping of the unit to our location.

RATES

SHIPPING TO THE USA

There is a FREE shipping option (via USPS Priority Mail) for locations in the USA and USA Territories. This covers the USA's 48 contiguous States, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska, the US Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa.

Delivery time for the offered free shipping option to mainland USA locations will be 3 to 5 business days. On the other hand, the faster (paid) USPS and FedEx options for mainland USA locations will deliver the next business if FedEx Priority is used, or 1-2 business days if USPS Express and FedEx Economy are used.

PO Boxes (Post Office boxes) and APO Boxes (Army Post Office boxes) addresses are accepted, but can only be shipped via the USPS shipping services. FedEx will not accept those.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT PORCH PIRACY:

When we ship your package, shipping via the USPS is a secure and fast way to get your package. A $100 insurance is automatically included in all packages shipped to our customers in the USA. This insurance covers if the package is damaged or lost during shipping.

If you require extra insurance, please let us know, so we can add to your invoice the cost of insurance for the value of the item. However, this insurance will NOT cover cases of porch piracy. If you live in an area where porch piracy is of a high incidence, or if there are common issues with mail, like the postman dropping the package at the wrong address, then please let us know if you require a signature service for your shipping.

Signing for the package is the only way to prevent porch piracy or having the package delivered to the wrong address.

INTERNATIONAL LOCATIONS (OUTSIDE THE USA AND ITS TERRITORIES)

Products and services shipped to international locations will be shipped via FedEx, and some, where available, can be shipped via USPS too. This is on a case-by-case basis, and when available, it will be shown in the shipping calculator.

IMPORTS TO THE USA

The new USA tariffs system is being adapted only for the services for international locations, where you need to send your unit here to be repaired or programmed, and that will count as an import to the USA. In these cases, you will see a tariff block added to the end of the shipping calculator, consisting of three parts: the tariff itself (L2), a fixed regulatory charge (L1), and a Duty Tax Processing charge (L3). These are the import tariffs and fees charged by FedEx, DHL, or any other company that you may use to ship your unit here. No markups or extra charges are added to those amounts.

The warranty for this product is limited, and it has an expiration date, as stated in the information block above these lines.

If a warranty is claimed within the warranty term, its coverage will be subject to our warranty-accepting conditions defined in our warranty Terms and Conditions page, in part five(V), section "D" of that page. If the product shows any of the conditions mentioned in that section that void the warranty, we unfortunately cannot process the warranty claim.

I. COVERAGE

NOTE: Any mention of "days" in this document, it refers to "calendar days", as opposed to "business days", unless otherwise noted.

A. The included warranty term, clearly stated in the information page of every product, covers the product against defects. Damage to the product caused by shipping, handling, or misuse is not covered by this warranty.

B. The basic shipping insurance is for $100. If the customer desires a higher-value insurance, please let us know before ordering so we can send an invoice for the extra insurance.

C. In the extremely rare occasion that the product fails or has any issue, we will first consult the customer, and if the problem is determined to be related to the product itself and not to an external factor, the product will be taken back for revision.

If we find that the product does not comply with the warranty conditions defined in our warranty Terms and Conditions page, in part five(V), section "D", we will consult the customer to agree in the path to take. The possibilities are to repair the product if possible, for an extra fee, or return the product unrepaired, depending on the case.

In any of the cases where the unit is not covered by the warranty, the customer must assume any shipping charges.

If the product complies with the warranty Terms and Conditions the course of action will any of the following:

1. Repair the product if possible.
2. Replace the product if available.
3.Issue a refund of the product and cancel the order.

In #1 and #2 of the above cases, if the warranty claim was made within 30 days after the customer received the product the first time, we will cover shipping. Otherwise, the customer must assume the shipping charges.

In case #3 above, shipping, if any, will only be refunded within the first 30 days after the customer receives the product for the first time. Otherwise, the refund will only include the cost of the product.
