This is a refurbished 2001 - 2003 Toyota RAV4 car computer (ecm, ecu or engine control module) for front wheel drive (4x2) vehicles. A one year warranty is included with this ECU.

This Toyota RAV4 ECM was repaired and put back to like-new condition. No programming will be needed, just install and will be ready to use.

Already known problems with transmission, caused by these units, were corrected (repaired) on this one and preventive measures were taken to avoid this from happening again. How do I know if this ECM fits my RAV4?

If (1) your RAV4 is a 2001, 2002 or 2003 model.
If (2) it has an automatic transmission.
If (3) it is 4x4 (AWD or all wheel drive).

My original ECM has a lower or higher number (Ex: 89661-42650), can this ECM be used anyway?

Yes, this ECM will replace that number. Remember, the rule is; must be a 2001, 2002 or 2003 RAV4 model, must be automatic and must be 4x2.

This unit programmed for Non-Immobilizer RAV4 vehicles, but if you require the immobilizer system to be active, it can easily be done. Just tell us at the moment of ordering and we will program the ECM before shipping it to you, at no extra cost.

How do I know if my RAV4 has immobilizer or not?

While it can not be identified from the VIN number, nor by the ECM part number and on top of that, there are ECMs having the same part number, either with or without immobilizer, you can easily know by doing a simple check for the presence or absence of a fuse.
